Urethroplasty (Urethral Stricture Surgery)

Urethroplasty is a reconstructive surgical method that aims for a lasting solution in urethral (urinary channel) stricture. It aims for a permanent result compared with internal urethrotomy in recurrent strictures.

Urethroplasty involves repairing the narrowed urethral segment or reconstructing it with tissue support. Different techniques (end-to-end repair, graft augmentation, etc.) can be applied depending on the location, length and characteristics of the stricture.
